Choosing Champs Elysees Hotels near the Subway
Posted (Admin) on February-10-2008

Champs Elysees is one of the most attractive locations for tourists in Paris. The area was the site of the World’s Fair in the early 1900, and there are many wonderful locations in the area to visit and appreciate, most notably the architecture. The area has many hotels due to its popularity with Parisian tourists. This same popularity with tourists is also the reason that many of these Champs Elysees hotels are extremely costly. Thankfully, there are a few good options that are inexpensive, comfortable, on the subway line, and allow for easy access to the best tourist attractions that Paris has to offer.

One of the most notable attractions near the Champs Elysees is the Paris Petite Palais, which is the remnant of a hotel built for the World’s Fair in the late seventeenth century. No longer is a hotel, this outstanding piece of architecture now reopened, and being utilized as a beautiful art and history museum that can only be described as a smaller version of the Louvre, which is also nearby. The Petite Palais larger twin, the Paris Grand Palais, is just next door, and is home to many conventions, fashion shows, and other events. One wing also houses a science museum. If you are curious about what events might be showing at the Grande Palais, you can get information to help you make your decision about subway hotels by seeking out a Paris France blog.
