Finding out the SEO friendly URL
Posted (Admin) on May-2-2008

One thing that can maximize your search engine optimisation on the web is the search engine friendly urls that can easily redirect the traffic to your website. URL is normally used by anyone and everyone on the nets.  You can use them in forums, emails, mailing lists or anywhere you like. SEO friendly URL can be defined as those URL that are human readable ones.

You will have to take care of the specific requirements of the particular search engines.  Like you have to avoid the use of the “&id” in the URL as parameter if you want to make your mark on Google. Once these minor points are taken care of and if you can really create SEO friend URLs the rest would be easy and you will be in for guaranteed search engine optimisation for your website.

An important thing to remember is that most of the search engine does not spider the dynamic pages as they can with static pages.  Your aim would be to have all your pages indexed fully on the search engine and for this end you must make your urls readable for the search engine. A little change in the coding can do wonders with the unfriendly urls you have put up.  Moreover, you can also make your url non-case sensitive so that becomes easier for the user to access them using both small and capital letters while searching. You on the other hand get automatic, search engine optimisation.
